Welcome Jonathan Chapman!

WJ Interests is pleased to introduce you to Jonathan Chapman, the newest member of our team!

Jonathan is a wealth advisor with WJ Interests. In this capacity, he provides wealth management and financial planning services to clients in order to help them plan for their financial future. He advises clients on many aspects of financial planning, including retirement and education, estate and investment planning.

Prior to joining the WJ team, Jonathan was a banker and investment specialist for J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Houston and an investment analyst intern at Teacher Retirement System of Texas in Austin. Previously, he served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps on assignments in Iraq, Australia and Hawaii with an infantry battalion and regiment. He attained the rank of captain during his final assignment in Quantico, VA, where he served as the adjutant for the air facility in support of the president’s helicopter squadron. He was awarded two Navy and Marine Corps commendation medals for meritorious service.

Jonathan is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in ocean engineering from the United States Naval Academy and a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in finance from the University of Texas at Austin.

Jonathan lives in Sugar Land with his wife and three children (two boys and a girl), and enjoys playing sports with them as well as coaching their baseball, flag football and basketball teams.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Family and earning the title of United States Marine.

What are three words people use to describe you?
Driven. Genuine. Disciplined.

When you are not working, what do you care about the most?
Spending time with family, but my wife would say coaching baseball.
