Jared Jameson, CFP® , CEO, Partner

Jared is the Chief Executive Officer of WJ Interests. In this role, he oversees the firm operations, strategy, and all aspects of client service and satisfaction.  He also serves as the Chief Investment Officer of the firm leading the portfolio development process.  Jared believes that transparency and the fee-only approach leads to long-lasting, trust based relationships.

Prior to forming WJ Interests in 1996, Jared worked as a Professional Engineer at Ch2m Hill among other firms. As Jared made the transition from a Professional Engineer into Finance, he was able to apply his methodical, reasoned approach he used in solving engineering problems to solving client’s financial problems. Jared earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Southern Methodist University and a MBA degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Jared is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a registered investment advisor with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Jared has been a longtime resident of Fort Bend County and serving his community has always been of great importance. He has taken an active role in numerous charities and organizations such as the Greater Fort Bend EDC and the Fort Bend County Women’s Center.

Jared is an avid golfer and is always looking to improve his handicap. Unfortunately his woodworking skills are not as impressive as his golf game, he calls himself a frustrated woodworker with excellent caulking skills that fix many mistakes. Jared lives in Sugar Land with his wife, daughter, three dogs and two cats.
