Bill is the Chairman and founding partner of WJ Interests. His leadership provides the strategic guidance for WJ’s asset management strategy. Bill provides the inspiration, leadership and experience that enables the WJ Team to manage our client’s investments as if they were our own.
Bill has 40+ years of management experience in leading successful business enterprises. Prior to forming WJ Interests in 1996, Bill was an owner and served as the President of Lichliter/Jameson, now known as LJA Engineering, Inc., a leader in the Houston Engineering Industry. During his leadership, his emphasis was business financial/strategic planning of bond financing for public works and infrastructure projects. Bill is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a registered investment advisor with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Bill has been a longtime resident of Fort Bend County and has certainly contributed to improving the way of life in his community. Both by building a positive business climate through his work with the Fort Bend Chamber and Greater Fort Bend EDC, but also in the not-for-profit sector helping those less fortunate as a Trustee on The George Foundation and other not-for-profit organizations.
Bill has spent a great amount of time traveling extensively around the world both for pleasure and in pursuit of hobbies. He has a great love for the game of golf and the sport of fly fishing. Health and physical fitness has always been of great importance to Bill throughout his life. Bill lives in Sugar Land with his wife and dog – close proximity to his two children and grandchildren.

A: Family – children and grandchildren. Professionally – success of WJ Interests and Lichliter/Jameson. Personally – marathoner.

Jared is the CEO and Chief Investment Officer of WJ Interests. In this role, he leads the portfolio development process and all aspects of client service and satisfaction. Jared believes that transparency and the fee-only approach lead to long-lasting trust-based relationships.
Before forming WJ Interests in 1996, Jared worked as a Professional Engineer at Ch2m Hill among other firms. As Jared made the transition from a Professional Engineer into Finance, he was able to apply his methodical, reasoned approach he used in solving engineering problems to solving client’s financial problems. Jared earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Southern Methodist University and a MBA degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Jared is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP) and a registered investment advisor with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Jared has been a longtime resident of Fort Bend County and serving his community has always been of great importance. He has taken an active role in numerous charities and organizations such as the Greater Fort Bend EDC and the Fort Bend County Women’s Center and Access Health.
Q: What accomplishment are you most proud of?
A: Professionally - growing WJ Interests to the premier fee-only wealth management firm in Fort Bend County. Community - making a difference by serving and actively participating in numerous local charities and organizations.
Q: What are three words people use to describe you?
A: Committed. Insightful. Analytical.
Q: When you are not working, what do you care about the most?
A: I enjoy spending time with my family, playing golf, and taking care of my yard, which includes growing super-hot peppers that only I enjoy eating.

A: We try to stand out in how we apply our analytical abilities to financial planning and investment management. We strive to be a beacon of superior customer service in a world generally lacking it. Our client’s success is not the means we use to sell products but the purpose of all we do.

A: To apply my technical knowledge to a financial situation and make a client’s life better and more fulfilling. Finances play such an important role in all of our lives (like it or not) that the services we provide can make a difference.

Jonathan is a Partner and Senior Wealth Advisor with WJ Interests. In this capacity, he provides wealth management and financial planning services to clients in order to help them win with their hard-earned wealth. He advises clients on many aspects of financial planning including retirement,
education, estate, insurance, tax and investment planning. He also provides exit and succession planning services to business owners, ensuring they are able to exit their businesses when they want, for the money they need, and to whom they choose.
Prior to joining the WJ Team, Jonathan served as a Banker and Investment Specialist for the J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Houston. Previously, he served as an Officer in the United States Marine Corps on assignments in Iraq, Australia and Hawaii with an infantry battalion and regiment. He attained the rank of Captain during his final assignment in Quantico, VA, where he served with the Air Facility in support of the President’s Helicopter Squadron. He was awarded two Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals for meritorious service during his tenure in the Marine Corps.
Jonathan is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Certified Exit Planning (CExPTM) professional. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
Jonathan lives in Sugar Land with his wife, two sons and daughter.

A: Becoming a Partner at WJ and earning the title of United States Marine. At WJ, it is truly an honor and privilege to now serve as a business owner and partner alongside two of the best in the industry, Bill and Jared Jameson.
Q: What are three words people use to describe you?
A: Driven. Genuine. Disciplined.
Q: When you are not working, what do you care about the most?
A: Spending time with wife, two sons and my favorite daughter. When I'm not at the office, you can likely find me on a sports field/court somewhere in the world (yes, world), cheering my kids on and watching them play their sports games/matches.

A: WJ’s Fee-Only advice provides an unbiased approach to serving our clients’ best interests. We focus on a client's goals and then develop personalized plans to help them achieve those goals. Those plans include not only investment management, but retirement, insurance, tax, estate, and education planning. For business owners, we also provide succession planning in order to help them successfully maximize the value of and monetize what is typically their most valuable asset, their business.

Brandon plays a pivotal role at WJ Interests, focusing on the investment and economic research aspects of the firm. He searches for and evaluates potential strategies and portfolio construction approaches to optimize client returns for an appropriate level of risk. Collaborating closely with the Chief Investment Officer, Brandon contributes significantly to portfolio management and asset allocation strategies, enhancing the firm's investment approach.
Brandon first came to WJ as an intern in the summer of 2012 and then returned the following year. After graduating from the University of Texas at San Antonio, he returned to WJ as a full-time associate in 2014. Brandon is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA), CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a registered investment advisor with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Brandon lives an active life and has a love for almost anything sports related. Brandon grew up in Fort Bend County and is glad to be back – he lives in Sienna with his wife, two daughters and two dogs.

A: Earning a full scholarship to college.

Mateo’s responsibilities at WJ Interests include financial planning services to clients for their financial future. He reaches out to clients for updates as well as runs analysis’ over the effect of major financial decisions. Mateo works hand in hand with WJ’s Senior Advisors to ensure the success of client’s financial plan.
Mateo is a recent graduate of Texas A&M University and was a part of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band and Corps of Cadets. He joined WJ as a full-time associate in the summer of 2022. Mateo passed his CFP exam July 2023 and will be submitting his application to become a CFP in 2024.
Mateo is an avid runner and loves to be outdoors. He and his wife live in the Clear Lake area with their Corgi.

A: Graduating from Texas A&M University and completing my first marathon.

Alisha’s responsibilities at WJ Interests involve supporting the advisors by executing necessary trades as well as maintaining our portfolio accounting system.
Alisha came to WJ with a background in public accounting, working for industry leaders such as Arthur Andersen LLP (pre-Enron) and Nuevo Energy Company. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a BBA in Accounting.
Alisha keeps extremely busy with her large family and all the activities that go along with four kids. She is a proud Aggie and comes from a family of Aggies going back four generations. Alisha lives in Sugar Land with her husband, kids and four pets.

A: Other than raising four children, my greatest professional accomplishment was surviving over five years in public accounting and, now, maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Ashley focuses on marketing and business development initiatives. She develops and executes a marketing and communications strategy to support consistent business growth and enhance the client experience. In addition, Ashley manages all marketing functions including events, client communication and community involvement.
Ashley brings more than 15 years of marketing and event management experience from the legal and engineering industry. Her unique perspective and keen eye for detail are great assets for WJ Interests. Ashley graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BS degree in Communication Studies.
Ashley enjoys traveling, baking, reading and spending time with family. She lives in Sugar Land with her husband and three children.

Darci focuses on ensuring the smooth operation of client services, managing client inquiries, maintaining accounts, resolving issues, and providing exceptional customer support. She is actively involved with collaborating and assisting our team with client service, investment operations, and project management.
Darci brings 9 years of financial services experience to our team. Darci is a graduate of Phoenix University with her MBA and BS in Accounting. Her expertise in client services, account maintenance, and problem-solving skills are great assets for WJ Interests.
Darci enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, working out, and sports – especially football (Go Big Red!). She lives in Cypress with her husband, four children, and a plethora of various pets.

A: I am most proud of all my degrees ranging from my MBA, BS in Accounting, as well as in Massage Therapy.

Alyson contributes to the WJ Interests team by organizing office operations and procedures. She ensures the office is running smoothly by managing day-to-day administrative needs. She is the first face you see when you visit our office and will always welcome you with a warm smile. Alyson brings over 14 years of customer service experience. Her organizational skills and keen eye for detail are great assets for WJ Interests.
Alyson enjoys traveling, sports, and spending time with her family. She lives in Richmond with her husband and four children.
