Why CFP Matters
In the financial industry, anyone can call himself a financial advisor or planner. Insurance agents, brokers and even accountants have used the title in order to project a level of objectivity and knowledge.
WJ Interests believes our clients deserve the best in financial advice and service. That’s why Bill, Jared, Jonathan, Jordan and Brandon are all CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificants. Working with a CFP® professional is a great choice. Not only do these advisors meet rigorous education and experience requirements, but they are also held to the highest ethical and professional standards in the industry.
The CFP® certification requirements include:
- Education – CFP® professionals must master nearly 100 integrated financial planning topics.
- Examination – CFP® professionals must pass a comprehensive two-day, 10-hour exam testing their ability to apply financial planning knowledge in an integrated format.
- Experience – CFP® professionals must have a minimum of three years experience in the personal financial planning process prior to earning the right to use the CFP® certification marks.
- Ethics – The final step to certification, CFP® professionals agree to abide by a strict code of professional conduct.
