Initial Phone Call

Introductory Meeting

Next, we’ll schedule an introductory meeting, which can be either virtual or in-person, based on your preference. In this meeting, we’ll dive deeper into your financial situation, discuss your long-term objectives, and outline how our services can help you achieve your goals.

Information Gathering

A key part of crafting a personalized financial plan is understanding your current financial landscape. We’ll gather detailed information about your assets, liabilities, income, and expenses. This comprehensive data collection is crucial for building a financial plan that truly reflects your individual needs and objectives.

Planning

With all the necessary information in hand, we begin the planning phase. Here, we develop a customized financial strategy that addresses your specific financial goals, whether it’s investment management, planning for life goals, business planning and more. Our plans are designed not only to meet your current needs but also to be flexible enough to adapt to changes in your life and financial circumstances. This phase typically takes 2-3 meetings to finalize your initial financial plan.

Investing

Once we have finalized your financial plan, we then develop an investment portfolio that serves as one of the tools to help you achieve your goals and objectives. We then prepare a mutually agreed upon investment policy statement (IPS) that establishes a clear understanding between the client and WJ Interests. This IPS outlines the investment goals and objectives and management policies applicable to the Client’s investment portfolio.

Initial and Ongoing Reviews

Once your plan is in place and the implementation of recommendations has been set in motion, we then schedule an initial review within usually 3 months in order to revisit the plan and discuss the portfolio to ensure that we are all on the same page. After this initial review, you may determine how often you would like to come into the office to have a financial plan and portfolio review meeting – most clients come in once a year.
